This year we are organizing a scientific image contest for a cash prize and the winners’ images will also be featured on the SDB website. Submission is open to students and postdocs.
Contest Rules
One entry per person. Images should be from traditional photography or an image acquisition system and may be computer generated (i.e. a 3D reconstruction). Entries will be judged on aesthetics, originality, and composition. The person submitting must obtain permission for its use from any colleagues who participated in its generation. Entries should be submitted to the director of the UMBC Keith Porter Imaging Facility, Tagide deCarvalho at tagided@umbc.edu with the subject title “MA-SDB photo contest” by April 14th, 2017. Please submit images in JPEG format and high-resolution (e.g. 300 dpi) and include the following information: your name, position, PI/Lab Head, institution and a title for the image.
